Statistical Programmer
Statistical Programmer: coordinate statistical programming activities for the development of software used by businesses; analyze statistics and integrate for integration into software tailored to client’s needs; perform statistical analyses using descriptive statistics; assist in the design of programs to organize business information; maintain programming tracking documents; work with colleagues to understand software specification documents; compare datasets ensuring the validity and accuracy of data used in software development; create and manage testing of relevant aspects of software; draft and present statistical analysis reports and plans; use statistical analyses to evaluate and optimize the performance of software in development and implemented for clients; liaise with colleagues in understanding, modifying and achieving programming objectives; make recommendations to colleagues to improve software precision and accuracy; and keep abreast of current developments in the industry and methodologies. A bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in applied statistics, computer science, or mathematics is required. An educational equivalency evaluation of the degree as prepared by a credentials evaluation service is acceptable. 12 months of experience as any type of statistical programmer, statistician or programmer analyst is required.
